VIRGINIA WINS, RAIN IS ON THE WAY

The Virginia Cavaliers beat the VMI Keydets yesterday 48-7 in Charlottesville, the Keydets were simply over-manned by the Cavaliers, with the win the Cavs are now 2-1 and will face Florida State at home next Saturday. It was very hot day yesterday in Charlottesville but it still wasn't as hot as it was when the Cavs played USC a few years back. There were quite a few upsets in college football which did effect our contest a bit and for the first time in three years something happened in the contest which hasn't happened before, stay tuned later this morning to find out what it was. In the NFL today the Redskins will play at St. Louis later today and the Packers are off until tomorrow night when the play at Chicago. The Reds lost again yesterday but the Cardinals also lost so the Reds magic # in down to 2 games. Today mom, dad, Al & Donna are going up to Washington to watch the Braves and Nationals play weather permitting. It appears tempers were flaring a bit yesterday at Dover when Kevin Harvick to exception to some of Denny Hamlin's comments about the Clint Bowyer incident form last week. It does look like we are going to get some much needed rain over the next few days which we could sure use, the NWS says we could pick up several inches of rain over the next couple of days. MICKEY

Zap Bacteria
To keep bacteria from taking up permanent residence in your kitchen sponges, rinse them with water at the end of each day, squeeze, then put in the microwave for three minutes. Let cool before touching. Do the same with your cutting boards, if they are microwaveable.
