THE NFL STARTS TONIGHT

The NFL will kick off it's season tonight with the New Orleans Saints visiting the Indianapolis Colts, the game will be on NBC. The Green Bay Packers will play the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday and Washington Redskins will play Miami Dolphins on Sunday as well. One of our fellow bloggers will be working tonights game in Louisville and the game is on ESPN2. The pollen and mold spores have been very high this week here in CH and I have had a headache just about everyday from it. My AIP index is on the rise again because my right shoulder is hurting again, I think I might always have something wrong with me. Construction on the new room has come to a screeching halt this week, I have not seen or heard from the construction crew at all. A fellow blogger sent me this photo of Michael in the chair. MICKEY

Preventing a Bunion

A bunion is a sore, swollen bump on the foot at the joint of the big toe. It can be very sore and painful, and may require surgery to remove.

Here are suggestions to prevent a bunion, courtesy of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons:

* Never try to force your foot into a shoe that doesn't fit well, or is too tight.
* Wear soft-soled shoes with wide insteps and ample space for the toes.
* Don't wear any heels higher than 2 1/4 inches.
* Avoid pointy-toed shoes.
* Wear cushioned pads in your shoes to prevent a bunion, and also to ease the pain of a bunion that has already formed.
