BASEBALL TONIGHT, BEACH TOMORROW
Tonight the CH Appomattox League team returns to action at Matoaca against the Matoaca Red team at Matoaca High School. This will be our 1st game in more than a week because of the July 4 holiday. I will be heading to the beach tomorrow morning for a week of rest and relaxation, I will miss two nights of Appomattox League while I am on vacation next week. I am packed and ready to go to the beach. Scott & family made it to the OBX last night between 10:30pm and 11:30pm and am sure Scott will be recovering today at the beach from his grueling trip before the rest of the group arrives. The Nascar Nextel Cup Series and the Busch Series are both racing at Daytona this weekend, the Busch Series will run tonight and the Nextel Cup race tomorrow night. I am glad I will be at the beach next week because it looks like a heat wave is going to hit CH starting today and running threw next week with highs in the mid to upper 90's while at the beach it will be in the upper 80's but I am sure it is going to be pretty humid on OBX. Well a bad day at the beach is always better than a good day at work. MICKEY

Walking tall
Walking even just a few minutes every day can help regulate high blood pressure. According to the Surgeon General and the American Heart Association, adopting a routine of daily physical activity can help reduce your risk of developing high blood pressure, or help you lower it if it's already too high. Walking also significantly reduces your risk of dying from coronary artery disease or a heart attack (exercise has as much effect as quitting smoking), and makes your heart stronger and more efficient, so that it pumps more blood with each contraction.
