here are a few pics from joy's best friend's (jan) house after the tornado. there are many many houses completely demolished or just gone altogether. however i just didn't feel it was proper to photograph other peoples misery. scottie and i did go volunteer to help and spent most of saturday helping clean up some of the devistation. it was all made worthwhile when we were able to find somebodys vietnam war medal. people in the area said that they know the man it belongs to. he and his wife are both in the hospital but they took the medal to him.

You did good in helping clean up. I know the man is happy to have his metal back. It makes you feel good to know you can help able to help.
i'm glad we could help, i have never seen anything like it before. it was ruled an f-3 tornado. it was about two miles from us and left an eight mile path of destruction.
I'm glad you guys are OK - I know the people you helped appreciated all that you did :)
Are Jan and her family ok? I know that was scary! I'm sure your efforts were greatly appreciated!
