The Colonial Heights Colonials started the year off right yesterday defeating the Meadowbrook Monarchs 10-3 at Shepherd Stadium. The Colonials did start of a little sluggish before opening the game up in the 5th an 6th innings. The Colonials offensively were lead by Kenny Staneback 3-4, Erik Loftis 2run HR 3RBI's, and JD McCarty 2-4. On the mound Caleb Lee picked up the win pitching 3 innings in relief. The Colonials will be back in action this afternoon at 4:30pm when the Sussex Tiger came to town. I have posted a few photos from yesterdays game and a link below to all the photos that Al took at yesterdays game. Also yesterday the Colonials softball team defeated Meadowbrook 16-3. The VCU Rams and the ODU Monarch will be in action today in the NCAA basketball tournament, VCU will meat Duke and ODU will meet Butler, both teams are underdogs but I think one of them will win today. Hopefully the rain will hold off until after tonights game. MICKEY
