COLONIALS WIN, VCU FALLS AT HOME

The Colonial Heights girls basketball team picked up another Central District win last night knocking off Dinwiddie 77-43, tonight the CH boys basketball team will travel to Dinwiddie. The VCU Rams fell to the Northeastern Huskies last night 68-63 at the Seigel Center, I have to say the Rams didn't play there best game of the year for sure and that cost them against a very good Northeastern team. The Rowdy Rams fans tried to rally the Rams to a victory but the team just wasn't up for it. The Richmond Renegades will be be back at home tonight when the Twin City Cyclones visit the Richmond Coliseum, the Gades need to win the rest of there home games before they hit the road for an extended road trip in February. Well we dodged another chance for snow again yesterday here in Colonial Heights, all we got was a very cold rain and today it's suppose to get around 60 before returning to the low 40's tomorrow. Keith how is the weather up in New Jersey, how much snow did you get where you are at? HAVE A NICE DAY, MICKEY

Well today is Scottie Woodfin's birthday and from what I understand he is 17 years old today, HAPPY BIRTHDAY SCOTTIE. It looks like we might get a little bit of winter weather early today before it all changes to a cold rain later this this afternoon. Right now here in CH it is 35 which is above freezing but when the precipitation starts to fall the temp will as well, however it does look like the temp will stay above freezing though all day. Where Keith is in New Jersey it looks like they might get 2-4 inches of snow. The VCU Rams have very big game against Northeastern at the Seigel Center, the Rams and the Huskies are tied for 1st place in the CAA so the winner will be in 1st place by themselves. If you can't make it down to the Seigel Center the game will be shown on ESPNU. Also tonight the CH girls basketball team will be back in action at home against Dinwiddie, the game will start at 6:30pm. MICKEY

Well it looks like we might get some winter weather here in Colonial Heights on Tuesday. They are calling for some snow and ice Tuesday morning before it all turns to rain by the afternoon, I wouldn't hold count on being out of school or work on this storm. It look like the bulk of the winter weather will be to our north and west. For all of you fellow bloggers with Direct TV there is a new country music video channel on channel 325, it is called Artist And Fans Network. VCU WINS AGAINS, RENEGADES & CAVALIERS LOSE

The VCU Rams beat the George Mason Patriots yesterday afternoon at the Seigel Center 76-71 and with the win our now tied with Northeastern for 1st place in the CAA who beat Old Dominion last night. The Rams next game is Tuesday night at home against Northeastern with the winner being in 1st place by themselves in the CAA, I think the Seigel Center maybe sold out again on Tuesday night. The Virginia Cavaliers lost to Florida State yesterday 73-62 and the final score doesn't really indicate how bad the Seminoles dominated the Cavaliers. The Richmond Renegades lost to the Huntsville Havoc last night 4-3, the Gades fell behind early and the whole prove to be to much to overcome. The Gades are now off until Wednesday night when the Twin City Cyclones visit the Richmond Coliseum. What a difference a morning makes, yesterday morning it was almost 50 degrees at 7am this morning it was a cold 21. My PAIN index remains elevated this morning because I burned my mouth while eating my chicken basket at the hockey game last night. Also we went to see Andrew's basketball game yesterday afternoon, Andrew's team looked like Florida State playing Virginia, it was tough afternoon for Andrew's team. MICKEY

even though the girls lost they played well last night! they showed some desire and intensity last night! they looked like they wanted to win for a change!!

GADES WIN, HAVING COMPUTER PROBLEMS

UPDATE, COMPUTER BACK UP

First off on want to say that I am having computer problems with the main computer that we use in the house so I am having to do today's entry to the blog from the old computer so there will be several things missing from today's entry. The Richmond Renegades beat the Huntsville Havoc last night 4-2 at the Richmond Coliseum, it was a pretty physical game for the most part and the Gades goalie played very well. The Gades will face Huntsville again tonight at the RC. In high school basketball action last night the Prince George Royals beat the Colonials boys team 62-48 and the girls team 61-46. Today in college basketball action the VCU Rams have a big game this afternoon when the George Mason Patriots visit the Seigel Center in a battle for 1st place in the CAA. The Virginia Cavaliers will also be at home today against Florida State. I did get some donuts at Wal-Mart this morning and they were very good with the exception I lost most of the chocolate on them because they didn't have any boxes to put them in, I had to put them in a bag that wasn't designed for 6 donuts. It's a good thing I can't post my PAIN index because of computer problems because it would be extremely high just because I am aggravated that the computer isn't working. MICKEY

IT LOOKS LIKE IS GOING TO BE A VERY NICE DAY

After being very cold for about the last two weeks we finally going to get a very nice day day weather wise today. It is suppose to be sunny and around 60 today but the warm weather isn't going to last to long though it is going to be back in the upper 30's by Monday. The Richmond Renegades lost to the Twin City Cyclones last night 5-4, the Gades fell behind 5-1 before scoring 3 goals in the 3rd period to make it close. The Gades will be back in action tonight and tomorrow night at home against the Huntsville Havoc. The Colonial Heights boys & basketball teams will be back in action tonight against Prince George, the girls team will be at home while the boys team will be on the road. Well I threw some more with dad yesterday and my arm still feeling very good, dads arm even was feeling much better so I think his PAIN index has fallen. I am glad that it is Friday. MICKEY

Well today is fellow blogger Mark's 54th birthday, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARK. I don't know if there is any truth to a rumor that he might be taking off for his birthday, after all he works for the government. The VCU Rams picked another road victory last night beating the Georgia State Panthers 65-50, the Rams are now in a 3 way tie for 1st place in the CAA after Northeastern upset George Mason. Next up for the Rams is a home game Saturday with George Mason. Also in college basketball last night the Virginia Tech Hokies knocked off the #1 team in the country Wake Forest 78-71 at Wake. The Richmond Renegades will return to action tonight at Twin City, the Gades will return home tomorrow night and Saturday night to face the Huntsville Havoc. I went to baseball rules clinic meeting last night and this years theme is sportsmanship, they are stressing sportsmanship between the teams and the officials doing the games.
