VIRGINIA LOSES AGAIN, RENEGADES WIN AGAIN

The Virginia Cavaliers put up a good fight yesterday but fell to Virginia Tech 17-14 losing there 4 straight game after winning 4 straight.  The Cavaliers end there season with a very disappointing 5-7 record and the Cavaliers fans asking allot of questions about what happened to the offense all year.  I my opinion the Cavaliers have to find QB or they will be in the same situation next year.  Speaking of being disappointed I am sure the Georgia Bulldog fans are this morning after falling to Georgia Tech 45-42k, this is the same Georgia tech team that Virginia beat last month.  In high school football action Dinwiddie advanced to the state championship game with a 42-21 win, Dinwiddie will now face a very talented Phoebus team next Saturday at Virginia Tech for the state championship.  The Washington Redskins have a very big game this afternoon when the New York Giants come to D.C., the weather could play a very big factor in this game because it looks like it is going to rain all day.  The Green Bay Packers chance for making the playoffs this year could come to a crashing end today against Carolina with a loss, I have to say I don't like the Packers chances.  The Richmond Renegades won there 3rd straight game last night beating the Twin City Cyclones 5-3, this may been the worst officiated game I have ever seen.  If I was the Twin City coach I would have never made it to the end of this game.  The VCU Rams beat New Mexico last night 67-55 ending the Rams 2 game losing streak.  I will update the college football pick em contest later this morning, there were some changes towards the top.  MICKEY

GADES TAKE THE FIRE OUT OF THE ANTZ, VIRGINIA LOOKS TO UPSET VIRGINIA TECH

The Richmond Renegades took the Fire out of the Antz last night at the Richmond Coliseum breaking out of there offensive slump by scoring 10 goals en route to 10-4 victory.  Offensively for the Renegades 9 different players scored in the game and there were also 4 fights in the game after the FireAntz become a bit frustrated.  The Gades however did lose there #1 goalie in the game to an apparent leg injury, the Gades will be back in action tonight home again tonight against the Twin City Cyclones.  Well if the Virginia Cavaliers want to play in a bowl game this year they will have to beat Virginia Tech in Blacksburg today and if Virginia Tech wins today they will head to ACC Championship game next week.  I have to say I don't like the Cavaliers chances today.  The East Carolina Pirates dismantled the UTEP Miners yesterday 53-21, the Pirates will play in CUSA Championship game next week.  The Virginia basketball team suffered another setback last night falling Syracuse 73-70, the VCU Rams will be in action tonight against New Mexico in the Cancun Challenge.  In high school football action today the Dinwiddie Generals will face Libertyy (Bealeton) with the winner advancing to state championship game next week at Virginia Tech.  I did go down to Wal-Mart again this morning and yes they did have the donuts ready and they were every good again.  MICKEY

The good news is that you get to decide the best time for you to exercise based upon your personal goals, schedule and lifestyle. Ideally, you will pick a time that you are able to stick with consistently and make part of your daily or weekly schedule. If you are training for competition, it's wise to modify your training to accommodate the event start time, and it's always wise to warm up before any workout.

GADES WIN, TODAY IS BALCK FRIDAY

The Richmond Renegades picked up there 1st road win of the season last night beating the Fayetteville FireAntz 5-4 in a shootout.  The Gades offense broke out of there 2 game slump and actually scored 4 goals in the game and added 1 more in the shootout, thats what happens when you score goals, you have a chance to win.  The Gades will be home both tonight and tomorrow night.  Well today is Black Friday so when you are in the area of the malls be on the lookout those crazy drivers trying to get to the mall, you might wan to stay out of there way because they are on mission.  The UVA basketball team will on the road tonight at Syaracuse trying to avenge avenge an embarrassing loss to Liberty there last time out, it looks like it could be a long season for the Cavs basketball team.  The East Carolina Pirates will finish out the regular season today against UTEP, win or lose today still will have two games left, they will play in next weeks CUSA championship game and then a yet to be determined bowl game.  Well I hope everybody had a nice Thanksgiving and didn't eat to much and if you did get out there today and burn it off.  Have a nice weekend.  MICKEY

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

I just though I would take this time to wish all you fellow bloggers and anybody else who come by to visit Mickey's Place a Happy Thanksgiving.  The Richmond Renegades will be on the road tonight against the Fayetteville FireAntz, the Gades will be looking to score a goal tonight since they haven't scored in there last two games and are also looking to pick up there 1st road win of the season also.  The Gades are currently 0-6 on the road.  There are 3 NFL games today, Tennessee will be at Detroit, Seattle at Dallas and Arizona will visit Philadelphia tonight.  I did go down to Wal-Mart this morning and yes they did have to donuts ready and they were very good, there were a few more people down there this morning since it was Thanksgiving.  Again HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all.  MICKEY

Thankful for it all
Think today of how good life can be. And you'll see that life's true goodness comes not from what you have, but from how much you value and appreciate it.

There is no end to the possibilities for richness and fulfillment in your life. There is no limit to what you can make of whatever you have.

Consider what you are able to be thankful for, and you'll discover something wonderful and empowering. You can be thankful for it all.

Look back and you'll see that the pleasures and the pains have both pushed you forward and given you countless opportunities for real growth. You've been supported by the good things you do have and inspired to reach for those things you do not yet have.

The triumphs have given you joy and the disappointments have strengthened your determination. All of it has enabled you to more richly fulfill the beautiful, genuine person you are.

Treasure all that is around you, whatever it may be, and open yourself to the positive possibilities. Be truly thankful for it all, and every day is even more rich and fulfilling than the day before.

VIRGINIA AND VCU BOTH UPSET

The Virginia Cavaliers undefeated season came to an end last night at the JPJ Arena when the Liberty Flames stunned the Cavaliers 86-82.  There is no way that Virginia should lose to Liberty, they aren't even picked to win there own conference.  I do understand that fellow blogger Keith was in attendance but even that didn't help this team, Keith has a pretty stellar record at the JPJ Arena.  Also upset last night where the VCU Rams, the East Carolina Pirates stunned the Rams in OT 93-90, what has happened to the Rams they have now lost two games in a row.  I guess fellow blogger Lee is now a Duke fan again.  I talked to Scott yesterday and he told me that both Dusty & Scottie are both off to 4-1 starts on the mat this year, they both went 3-1 in tournament Saturday and both had pins on Monday night.  I think Scott must have taught them everything they now.  The Renegades continued to shake up there lineup yesterday releasing three players and signing three more, it doesn't appear that any there new signees are big goal scorers though the thing the Gades need the most.  Have a nice day.  MICKEY

GREEN BAY'S PLAYOFF HOPES JUS ABOUT DONE

The New Orleans Saints pounded the Green Bay Packers 51-29 last night in Monday Night Football.  The Packers looked bad on both sides of the ball, the defense couldn't stop the Saints at all and the offense just looked bad.  For a team trying to stay alive in the playoff race the Packers looked terrible.  It looks like I will have to root for the Redskins and Brett Favre and his New York football Jets this year, I still think it was a pretty bad decision for the Packers to let Favre go.  In college basketball action tonight the Virginia Cavaliers look to stay undefeated on the season when the Liberty Flames visit the John Paul Jones Arena and the VCU Rams will be on the road to face the East Carolina Pirates.  My PAIN index has come down a bit this morning but I am still a bit sore on my right side.  Also I think I have finally got the upper hand on my new police scanner, it took a while because that thing is pretty darn complicated and I am sure there still some things that I learn in the future about it.  Scott how did the boys do in the grappling tournament this weekend.  MICKEY

Changing Schedules
Not everyone can choose to exercise when they feel like it. Work and family commitments often take priority and we end up squeezing in some exercise. If you find that the only time you have to exercise is when you least feel like it, don't despair. As we learned earlier, you can change your rhythms and your body can adapt to a new exercise time. However, it may take about a month to reset your internal exercise clock.

REDSKINS WIN, RENEGADES SHUTOUT AGAIN

The Washington Redskins picked up a much needed road victory yesterday in Seattle knocking off the Sewhawks 20-17.  The Skins offense still had trouble scoring once it got in the red zone and tried give the game away while trying run out the clock but win is a win.  Next week they will have to step it up a bit when the New York Giants visit FedEx Field.  The Green Bay Packers will play the New Orleans Saints tonight in Louisiana, the Packers must win to keep up with Minnesota & Chicago who both won yesterday in the NFC North.  The Richmond Renegades were shutout for the 2nd straight night, this time it was the Knoxville Ice Bears beating the Gades 4-0.  It is tough to win when you don't score at all, this team has very little offense and appear to be heading to the cellar of the SPHL.  My PAIN index is up again this morning after not sleeping well last night and playing full court basketball again.  My feet are quite sore this morning.  It does look like it is going to be about 10 degrees warmer each day this week than it was last week which is just fine with me.  MICKEY

What to Do with Leftovers
If you have lots of leftovers you may want to freeze them rather than trying to consume them all before they go bad. You can do this with breads, cookies and other baked goods as well as meats and cheeses. Also consider sharing some with those whose families were not with them during the holidays.

Individual Differences
Some people are just naturally morning people. They have no trouble exercising fist thing in the morning. Others don't get moving so quickly and are more likely to feel like exercising later in the day. If you have such an obvious preference it's pretty easy to decide what sort of exercise schedule you might stick with. The interesting thing is that research shows that no matter when you think you are better able to exercise, almost all of us are, in fact, physically stronger and have more endurance in the late afternoon.

VIRGINIA FALLS AGAIN, ECU WINS CUSA'S EAST DIVISION, GADES NOW 0-5 ON THE ROAD

The Virginia Cavalier defense did all it could do to pick up a victory over Clemson but the Cavalier offense didn't hold it's end of the deal as the Cavaliers fell 13-3 to Clemson.  The Cavalier  offense was held to less than 200 yards and turned the ball over 4 times, the Virginia defense held Clemson below 200 yards as well but you can't win if you don't score.  The Cavaliers will finish out the season next Saturday at Virginia Tech.  The East Carolina Pirates won CUSA's Eastern Division with a 17-13 win over UAB and will play a yet to be determined opponent in the CUSA Championship game on Dec 6.  The Richmond Spiders & the JMU Dukes will be in the I-AA playoffs starting next weekend, the Randolph-Macon Yellow Jackets fell to Mount Union yesterday 56-0 in the Div III playoffs.  The Richmond Renegades are now 0-5 on the road following last nights 5-0 loss at Twin City, the Gades will be in Knoxville looking for there 1st road win of the season today.  In the NFL today the Redskins will visit Seattle while the Packers are off until Monday night when the travel down to New Orleans.  In college basketball action last night the VCU Rams suffered there 1st loss of the season falling to Rhode Island 92-86.  I think my feet have finally unthawed this morning from being at the football game yesterday.  MICKEY

IT'S GOING TO BE COLD AT UVA TODAY, GADES WIN AGAIN

Well I will be heading up to UVA today with fellow bloggers Andrew & Keith and it's going to be cold up there.  The high temp today is only suppose to be 37 up there so I am going to try to dress accordingly, I just hope my feet don't get to cold and Virginia wins if I am going to got out there and sit in the cold.  Also today Randolph-Macon will be playing in the Div III football playoffs, the bad news is that they are playing the #1 seed Mount Union.  In college basketball action last night Virginia just barely slipped by that powerhouse of a team Radford 68-66.  The Richmond Renegades beat the 1st place Huntsville Havoc last night 3-1 and it was by far the best game the Gades have played at home all year, the Gades will travel to twin City tonight.  Also at last night game was former blogger Mark & fellow blogger Lee.  Believe it or not my PAIN index has already starting to rice just anticipating having to sit out in the cold temps today at UVA.  MICKEY

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LEE, RENEGADES BACK IN ACTION TONIGHT

Well today is fellow blogger Lee's (College Boy) 19th birthday, HAPPY BIRTHDAY LEE.  So what's Lee going to do on his birthday, well he is going to to class and then to the hockey game tonight.  Speaking of going to the hockey game long lost blogger Mark is also suppose to be going as well.  The Renegades will be hosting the 1st place Huntsville Havoc tonight, however the Havoc have lost there last two games.  In college football last night Miami which did control there own destiny in in the Coastal Division of the ACC lost to Georgia Tech 41-23 and the game really wasn't that close.  I will be heading to the Virginia vs Clemson game tomorrow with fellow bloggers Keith & Andrew and it appears that it might be on the cold side, I hate to be cold so I will have plenty of layers on.  The Mercer Bears had the upset of the night last night beating the Auburn Tigers 78-74, they have now beat both Alabama & Auburn and will now face Georgia Tech on Saturday, fellow blogger Scott informed me about this about his home town team.  Lee have a HAPPY BIRTHDAY and don't study to hard today.  MICKEY
