COMPUTER CRASHES YESTERDAY

The computer here at the house crashed yesterday and I lost my entire music media files and some other programs as well. Mom had to work on the computer to get back allot of other files as well, certain programs don't seem to be affected by what happened but others appear to bne to be gone. Needless to say I am not happy to lose all my music files. The UVA baseball team beat VMI yesterday 5-3, with the win the Cavs have 9 straight games, they will play Delaware in a 3 game series this weekend. I injured another finger yesterday at work, I was using the pallet jack when it got pinched in the handle, needless to say I have a pretty good blood blister on my finger. I was unable to throw at practice yesterday because my left shoulder and neck hurting, hopefully I will be able to throw today. MICKEY

I AM HURTING AGAIN

After having three days rest from throwing I thought I was feeling better but after throwing Monday I don't think the days off helped me that much. I think I have some type of nerve problem on the left side of my neck and shoulder, it hurts worst than my right arm. I did put the heat pad on my left shoulder last night and it did feel better for a while but it was pretty short lived, it just feels like something needs to pop back into place. Maybe I need to go to massage therapist to see if they can work out my problems. I am very questionable to pitch today at practice, maybe if I take some Advil before practice I will be able to throw. Also going to the dentist yesterday didn't help the situation in my neck at all, the good news from the dentists office was that she didn't think my crown was lose which means I won't have to go back for another 6 months because everything else looked ok. I really think I am falling apart. The UVA baseball team returns to the field today at 4pm when the Cavaliers play in state rival VMI, the Cavs are 10-1 on the season. MICKEY

The triple is the most exciting play in baseball. Home runs win a lot of games, but I never understood why fans are so obsessed with them.

UNC FALLS, I AM HEADING TO THE DENTIST THIS MORNING

The Maryland Terrapins upset the UNC Tar Heels 89-87 last night in College Park, Md, and with the UNC loss there is a three way tie for 1st place in the ACC with UVA, Virginia Tech and UNC. Virginia will play Virginia Tech Thursday night at the JPJ Arena in a huge game with the winner getting the inside track for an ACC title. For the 2nd straight weekend in Nascar the winner of the Busch race also won the Nextel Cup race, last week it was Kevin Harvick and this week it was Matt Kenseth. There was one very hard crash in the race and I have posted a photo from the AP of David Reutimann walking to the ambulance after a violent crash. The Nextel Cup Series is off this week before the go to Las Vegas the following week. Also yesterday I went over and saw VSU play Post University again, the Trojans on the game 8-7 after being down 6-2, it was very cold day for baseball. I am going to be a little late for work this morning because I have to go to one of my least favorite places at 8:15am, the dentist office. I am only going for a checkup today but may have to go back soon because I think the crown I have may be coming lose. Hopefully we will be able to get on the field at the stadium today for practice, we did get some pretty steady rain yesterday but I don't think we got as much as they were expecting. MICKEY

A GOOD TO DAY FOR UVA SPORTS

Well Saturday was a good day for the Virginia Cavaliers on the hardwood and on the diamond. First the UVA basketball team beat Georgia Tech 75-69 and by doing so remained tied for 2nd place in the ACC with Virginia Tech who beat Miami yesterday, both teams are 1 game behind UNC who will play at Maryland tonight. Next up for the Cavaliers basketball team is a Thursday night showdown with Virginia Tech. The UVA baseball team swept a double header yesterday over the Bucknell Bison 3-0 and 13-2, next up for the Cavalier baseball team is game with VMI on Tuesday. Speaking of baseball I went over and saw the 1st game of a DH yesterday between the Virginia State Trojans and the Post University Eagles, the Trojans had two former Colonials playing for them Jeff Shelton and Andrew Holt. The Eagles won the game 4-3 in the top of the 7th and Jeff pitched all 7 innings for the Trojans and Andrew did have two hits in the game and 1 RBI, I didn't stay for the second game, I have posted the box score below for the game. They said it was going to rain all day here in CH but so far this morning it hasn't rained at all, the radar is showing some rain to the west of us though, hopefully it won't be to heavy when it comes threw. Matt Kenseth won the Busch Series race last night and Jeff Gordon will lead the field in the Nextel Cup Series race later today. I am feeling better but I am nowhere near 100%. MICKEY

RENEGADES FALL AGAIN

Last nights game at the Richmond Coliseum may have been won of the worst games I have seen the Gades play all year, it just looked like they were going threw the motions. They weren't playing with any heart and it looked like Knoxville was at least two steps ahead of them all night. The Gades did score the first goal of the game but after that Knoxville controlled the game en route to a 5-2 victory. I think the Gades have run out of steam, hopefully they can get some momentum back before the playoffs start. There was also a very special guest in attendance last night, fellow blogger Al made an appearance at the game last night. The UVA baseball team continued to roll along yesterday knocking off Bucknell 2-0, the Cavs will play a DH with Bucknell today. The UVA basketball will be back in action today when Georgia Tech pays a visit to the JPJ Arena, the Cavs need a win to keep pace with Virginia Tech for 2nd place in the ACC, the Hokies are at home against Miami today. Jeff Gordon captured the pole for this weeks Nextel Cup event at the California Speedway, the Busch cars will race there tonight. We will have our first baseball scrimmage of the year next Saturday at 11am against Trinity, hopefully we won't get to much rain Sunday so we can get a few more practices in before next weeks scrimmage. I am feeling a bit better this morning, I may be back to at least 85% by Mondays practice. MICKEY

When the U.S. polished off Finland for the gold medal, folks all over the U.S. decided to start believing, indeed!
